Imaging when it answers a clinical question

Digital dental X-rays and panoramic imaging can help assess teeth and supporting structures. A CBCT scan provides three-dimensional information when it is indicated, for example in selected implant or surgical plans. Existing images are reviewed first. The dentist explains why a new image is needed; every patient does not need every scan.

Digital scans and laboratory design

An intra-oral scanner records the surfaces of teeth and gums for suitable cases. CAD/CAM design, milling and laboratory finishing connect these records with the planned restoration. The dentist still checks contacts, fit, appearance and bite in the mouth. Digital tools can reduce repeated impressions and improve communication between the clinic and laboratory.

Planning the bite

A restoration needs room to function and a bite that can be maintained. Clinical assessment and digital bite analysis, where indicated, help identify contacts and guide adjustments. A digital reading is one part of diagnosis; symptoms, examination findings and the patient’s response remain important.

Questions before you decide

Your questions answered

Only when it is justified by the clinical question. Your dentist reviews previous imaging and explains the benefit before arranging a new scan.

No. In-house technology helps coordination, but the condition of your mouth and the treatment’s clinical requirements determine the timeline.

Confirm the diagnostic, surgical and recovery arrangements for your particular treatment when selecting the centre.

Digital records help the team assess tooth form, bite relationships and the space available for restorations. A proposed design still needs clinical checking and adjustment in your mouth.

The Mumbai clinic has private waiting and treatment spaces. Tell the coordinator about mobility, caregiver or rest requirements so the visit can be planned appropriately.

Treatment and recovery spaces

Consultation rooms, operatories and designated surgical spaces support different stages of care. Where sedation or general anaesthesia is appropriate, the clinical team explains medical assessment, monitoring and recovery arrangements. Ask the coordinator about the facilities needed for your planned procedure at the chosen centre.

A comfortable visit

Let us know in advance about wheelchair access, an accompanying caregiver, travel or anxiety. At the Mumbai centre, the contact page lists wheelchair accessibility and parking on request. Confirm these arrangements when booking. Real clinic photographs show the spaces used for care rather than a stock representation of a dental practice.

Digital planning, in-house technology and patient comfort

Royal Dental Clinics uses an integrated workflow using dental imaging, intra-oral scanning, digital design and CAD-CAM production. These records help the team study tooth shape, jaw relationships and the space needed for a restoration. Investigations such as OPG, RVG or CBCT are selected according to the clinical question.

After assessment, the clinical and laboratory teams use the agreed records to design the proposed teeth. Fit, appearance and bite still need to be checked clinically. Digital production can support a shorter treatment sequence in suitable cases, while complex diagnosis, healing or correction may require additional visits.

The Mumbai clinic includes consultation and treatment areas, private waiting spaces and a designated sedation room. Tell the coordinator about mobility needs, anxiety, a caregiver or a longer appointment so the visit can be planned. Confirm the facilities required for your procedure at your chosen centre.

SAPTeeth, restorative materials and the bite

SAPTeeth is a polymer-based restorative system used for selected crowns and prostheses. Material choice should follow the available space, tooth or implant support, appearance, bite forces and maintenance needs. Ask which particular material is proposed for your treatment and how it compares with other suitable options.

After fitting, the team checks how the teeth meet and how comfortably you can use the restoration. Daily cleaning, review visits and any indicated bite adjustments remain part of care. A material choice does not remove the need for maintenance or guarantee the lifespan of a tooth or implant.
