Implant material and tooth material are different
The implant supports the tooth within the jaw. The crown or bridge is the visible restoration. A zirconia crown on a titanium implant does not make the implant metal-free. Ask the team to identify the materials in each part of the proposed system, including connectors and restorative components.
Suitability for your case
The assessment considers bone, gum appearance, bite, the position of the missing teeth and the system available. Some ceramic designs have different restorative or angulation choices from titanium systems. Medical concerns about a material should be evaluated rather than assumed from a general allergy claim.
Compare systems with useful questions
Ask about the specific product, one-piece or two-piece design, clinical evidence, loading plan and restorative options. Titanium has a broader long-term evidence base; ceramic implant evidence and indications depend on the system. Colour or a metal-free preference is one part of the decision.
