Same Day Fixed Teeth with Dental Implants

In suitable cases, you can receive dental implants and fixed teeth on the same treatment day. The first step is a careful assessment of your mouth, medical history and the support needed for the planned teeth.

What same-day treatment means

Same-day dentistry brings implant placement and fitting of fixed teeth into a coordinated day of care. It does not mean the bone has finished healing. Your written plan identifies the type of teeth fitted, the material, any planned replacement or adjustment and the follow-up needed. The team confirms these details before treatment.

How suitability is assessed

The surgeon reviews bone, gums, remaining teeth, the bite and relevant health conditions. Appropriate imaging helps plan implant positions and avoid important structures. Implant stability at placement is critical to the loading decision. If clinical conditions do not support immediate fixed teeth, a safer staged plan is explained.

How the treatment day is organised

Your consent and medical preparation are completed first. Anaesthesia is selected for the procedure and your needs. The implants are placed, digital or physical records guide the laboratory work, and the clinical team checks the teeth, bite and cleaning access. Discharge instructions and an early review are part of the plan.

Questions before you decide

Your questions answered

Your written plan confirms the restoration used in your case. Some plans provide a definitive restoration; others include a later replacement or modification. Ask before treatment.

Follow the prescribed diet. Fixed teeth do not mean unlimited chewing during healing; hard and sticky foods may need to be avoided.

Anaesthesia helps control pain during treatment. Soreness or swelling can occur afterwards, and the team explains the comfort plan and when to contact the clinic.

Suitability depends on medical health, available bone, implant stability, infection control and the planned bite. The surgeon confirms whether immediate fixed teeth or a staged approach is appropriate.

Yes. Receiving teeth on the treatment day does not complete biological healing. Reviews, cleaning and any bite or prosthesis adjustments remain part of your care.

Eating and returning to routine

Start with the diet advised by the surgeon and avoid testing the new teeth on hard or sticky food. Recovery depends on the extent of surgery and the anaesthesia used. Some people resume light activities quickly; others need more rest. Driving and work restrictions are explained when sedation or general anaesthesia is involved.

Costs and continuing care

The estimate should include implants, teeth, material, necessary extractions, scans, anaesthesia and planned reviews. Daily cleaning and professional maintenance continue after treatment. A service-free warranty for a selected material is subject to written terms and does not guarantee biological healing.

How the same-day implant pathway is organised

The Royal Dental workflow starts with registration, history taking and clinical examination. Existing X-rays and treatment records are reviewed, and investigations such as OPG, RVG or CBCT are selected where needed to assess the teeth, available bone and relevant structures.

The clinician then explains suitable options, risks, restorative choices and the expected sequence. The agreed treatment plan and estimate should identify what is included and whether fixed teeth are expected on the treatment day. Clinical findings or implant stability can change an immediate-loading plan.

Digital impressions or other records are used to prepare models and design the teeth. The laboratory and clinical teams coordinate production with the surgical and restorative stages. Before fixation, the restoration needs checks for fit, appearance, cleaning access and bite.

Local anaesthesia is used for appropriate procedures, with further anaesthesia or sedation planning according to your health and treatment. Rest and waiting arrangements can be discussed in advance. The team explains eating, cleaning and follow-up before you leave.

Receiving fixed teeth quickly does not mean that the tissues have completed healing. It is important to understand whether the teeth provided are provisional or final, any planned later stages, and what symptoms should prompt contact with the clinic.
